Weill, Paratroopers at the Wall, oil, 36 inches X 26
This is quite simply an astonishing painting and the camera does an entirely inadequate job of capturing the fine, colorful detail of the brushwork. There is a mosaic and gem-like detail to the painting, which is not surprising considering that Weill studied mosaics in Ravenna.
